Edtpa Task 2 Instruction Commentary Example

The edTPA is comprised of a scoring component and a test-taking component. The scoring component is comprised of two scales: "General Test" and "TestAssessment Report" (TAR) scales and a single subscale. Since the WritingTutoring Center Instructor Test is used for the general test component ofthe edTPA and the Writing Tutoring Center Uniform Test (WUTCUT) isused for the TAR scale, those two tests should not be viewed as separate tests, but as one test (writing tutoring center (edtn) test, 2014). The WUTCUT is tiered, with three versions and for each tier, the test is developed separately. Inother words, you cannot really compare scores for the different versions. I believe that the Writing Tutoring Center Uniform Test is a reliable tool because it appears to be psychometrically sound. However, its scoring seems to be error prone and based upon the subjective judgments of the testing centers at different schools. This raises concerns for test reliability asstability. Benchmarks for the different versions need to be established. I amhoarding to provide commentary on this issue in a subsequent article.

However, it is important to keep the PACT implementation discussion apart and the implementation concerns separate in order to avoid infecting ablogspot that is charged with assessing and commenting on PACT with the question ofaccess to and implementation of the PACT instrument in your district. I am also sympathetic to the difficulty of providing PACT commentsearly in the year. The aim should be to provide comments by the end of theyear. The state should provide consultants with access tothe test site in the summer prior to implementation and work with thetest center each year to provide access to the test center at that time. d2c66b5586
